Monthly Luncheon with Hon. Sam Liccardo

Monthly Luncheon with Hon. Sam Liccardo

We invite you to join us for our monthly luncheon featuring a conversation with the Hon. Sam Liccardo, who represents California’s 16th Congressional District, a dynamic region that stretches from the coastal communities of Half Moon Bay and Pacifica to the heart of Silicon Valley, including San José, Palo Alto, and Mountain View.

Before his election to Congress in 2024, Rep. Liccardo served two terms as Mayor of San José, where he led economic growth, championed transformative housing initiatives, and positioned the city as a national leader in climate resilience. Beyond housing and public safety, Liccardo was a champion for infrastructure and innovation. He secured funding for Caltrain electrification and key transit projects that strengthened mobility across the Bay Area. His leadership also attracted significant tech investments from Google, Apple, Amazon, and Adobe, fueling a major technology industry expansion and creating thousands of jobs.

Now in Congress, Liccardo serves on the House Committee on Financial Services and Chair of the New Democratic Coalition’s Innovation & Technology Working Group, he advocates for bipartisan solutions to lower costs, expand housing affordability, strengthen public safety, and accelerate America’s clean energy and innovation leadership. In July 2025, he spearheaded the New Dems’ first-ever Innovation Agenda, a policy framework to guide America to win the 21st century.

Prior to public service, Rep. Liccardo was a criminal prosecutor, fighting for justice in cases of sexual assault and child exploitation, and served as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of California. He holds degrees from Harvard Law School, Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and Georgetown University.

Rep. Liccardo and his wife, Jessica Garcia-Kohl, a nonprofit leader dedicated to child health, education, and leadership development, live in Saratoga.
