Virtual Lunch with the Climate Reality Project

Virtual Lunch with the Climate Reality Project

PLEASE NOTE: Out of an abundance of caution, we will be holding this meeting entirely online. All are welcome to attend at no charge. Here's the Zoom link.

If you've paid in advance, we will reach out to determine next steps. Watch your email inbox!

Join us for an update on the climate crisis, environmental policy, and what we as Democrats can do to help move the needle. We'll hear from Erin Zimmerman from the Silicon Valley chapter of the Climate Reality Project.

Erin received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Adelaide, Australia, in 2013. Her research focused on the influence of non-traditional security issues, such as climate change, on regional governing institutions in Asia. Her master’s thesis, completed in 2010, examined the impact of environmentally induced migration on state stability. She is currently an Associate at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies in Hamburg, Germany.

As an environmental advocate, Erin has been involved with organizations in Australia, Switzerland, and the United States. Her advocacy includes delivering presentations on a wide variety of topics and writing monthly environmentally-focused columns for the San Jose Spotlight and India Currents.

The Climate Reality Project was founded by former Vice-President Al Gore in 2009 with the goal of “catalyzing a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every sector of society.”
