Lunch with Dr. Lawrence Rosenthal

Dr. Lawrence Rosenthal is Executive Director of the UC Berkeley Center for Right-Wing Studies, a research unit founded in 2009 and dedicated to the study of right-wing movements in the 20th and 21st centuries. He is co-editor of STEEP: The Precipitous Rise of the Tea Party and also co-edited The New Nationalism and the First World War.

Professor Rosenthal has taught at Berkeley in the sociology and Italian studies departments and was a Fulbright Professor at the University of Naples in Italy. He received his Ph.D. in sociology from UC Berkeley. His work has appeared in The Nation, the International Herald Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Sacramento Bee, Foreign Policy, HuffPost, and other venues.
